The Enchanting Music of Sign Language →

September 28, 2020 by Luke Finch

Artist and TED Fellow Christine Sun Kim was born deaf, and she was taught to believe that sound wasn't a part of her life, that it was a hearing person's thing. Through her art, she discovered similarities between American Sign Language and music, and she realized that sound doesn't have to be known solely through the ears — it can be felt, seen and experienced as an idea. In this endearing talk, she invites us to open our eyes and ears and participate in the rich treasure of visual language.

Why I Draw With Robots →

September 25, 2020 by Luke Finch

What happens when humans and robots make art together? In this awe-inspiring talk, artist Sougwen Chung shows how she "taught" her artistic style to a machine — and shares the results of their collaboration after making an unexpected discovery: robots make mistakes, too. "Part of the beauty of human and machine systems is their inherent, shared fallibility," she says.

Furry Artwork →

September 14, 2020 by Luke Finch

Murat Yıldırım is an incredible art director and designer from Istanbul and chose to reproduce the world's most famous paintings by imitation. In this abstract idea, he used furs as a creative tool to move world-famous paintings forward. With this effect, he combined the colors of all pictures in an innovative and vibrant way. He had been impressed by classical paintings since my childhood. However, since modern art has become digital, he turned all this into my favorite 3D artwork.

IBM Think 2020 →

September 09, 2020 by Luke Finch

This year’s visual identity for IBM Think is an audio-visual collaboration – gestural, expressive, and driven by a deep sound analysis.

For this project with IBM and Grammy-winning music artist Imogen Heap, FIELD developed a new kind of sound visualisation: free from the paradigm of the timeline, dance-like and graphical – with the ambition of making the viewer hear, feel, and see the music.

Machina Rebrand →

July 13, 2020 by Luke Finch

A brand identity for food visionary Alan Yau’s most ambitious project to date. Born out of a determined, futuristic mindset, Machina is a Chinese takeaway concept, delivering an experience that is as hardworking and innovative as the technology behind it.

To echo this ambitious project we came up with a brand concept that was part of a wider fictional narrative. Inspired by cinematic visions of the future, the logo and visual language have been designed to be used as dynamic animations in-store and across digital media.

The BBC2 animated identities are undoubtedly one of the best things in design I’ve seen in years. It reminds me of when MTV used to have different artists contribute to designing the logo and is a system that can adapt to any audience. To the end, FutureDeluxe did a great job ay contributing a few of their own.

Lancome 360 →

Hopscotch Luxe organized a VIP event for Lancôme to present their new range of products around an innovative element the microbiome.

Monochrome (a Paris based agency) created a 3D animation film projected in 360 ° during the event. This 3D animation is an artistic vision of the microbiome and plunges the visitor into a dreamlike, quantum and galactic universe. Like a galaxy, the microbiome is illustrated by a central star from which emanates a multitude of particles of light. These create a ballet of filaments that gradually transform into points of light that evoke a constellation.

We celebrate content on Instagram’s platform as three-dimensional audio-visual experiences that also become a photogenic environment – an infinite loop.

Normann Copenhagen →

June 26, 2020 by Luke Finch

Frame was engaged by leading Danish design company, Normann Copenhagen, to create a series of short films to commemorate its 20 year anniversary. With the opportunity of featuring many of Normann Copenhagen's most iconic products, we went about creating a playful abstract aesthetic that resembles elements of museum exhibition poster artwork.

”We ultimately worked with three of Normann Copenhagen's iconic products. Firstly, the Circus pouf, a versatile furniture piece with an exclusive Scandinavian design. The Amp lamp, with its simple oval shape and finally, the Form chair - modern and minimalistic, embodying simple and contemporary design.”
